Welcome to Drum Majors for Peace!

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

We are raising money to offer a $1,000 scholarship to support a local youth to pursue MLK’s call to be a Drum Major for Peace and serve others.

Character is more powerful than academic achievement or athletic talent.

The Drum Major for Peace Scholarship lifts up young people who choose courage, compassion, and nonviolence in their everyday lives.

We are honoring local peace heroes and growing the next generation of storytellers, bridge-builders, and community leaders. Join us!

The collective support, care, and guidance from the entire community—neighbors and community members is needed for a child to grow into their potential. "It takes a village to raise a child," is an African proverb and our guiding north star.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King calls us to be Drum Majors for Peace.

Yes, I want to empower kids!
