Always doing something to help others and does not stop telling it's done
Not only by welcoming me into her family, but also welcoming everyone she meets into her heart I see her helping people in the community everyday. Like sharing resources and putting her art airing the community like on the dta bus transportation, and showing love in any way she can. She helps people feel seen and heard through her art. She has not only helped me learn important life lessons and healthy relationships.
She is making a positive change by helping our community tell its stories through her art and making sure everyone feels like they are part of the beauty in our neighborhood. Her public art represents real people in real voices, showing that our stories matter. I've seen her volunteer for years helping people with food insecurity and connecting them to resources. She's always giving her time, her heart and her creativity to others. She inspires me everyday and she is my hero.
I am nominating Tiffany Fenner to be Duluth’s Peace Hero for making a positive change by using art as a catalyst for healing, connection, and community transformation. Through her creativity, compassion, and commitment to accessibility, Tiffany has transformed public spaces into places of reflection and hope. Her artwork, now permanently displayed on the city’s bus shelters, serves as a daily reminder that peace is not just an absence of conflict, but a presence of beauty, inclusivity, and shared humanity. As a dedicated art teacher and community leader, she empowers others, especially youth and emerging artists, to use their own voices and stories through art. Her classroom and workshops are safe spaces where creativity becomes a bridge between differences and a tool for understanding. Beyond her teaching, she consistently advocates visibility and opportunity for local artists, ensuring that the arts remain central to Duluth’s identity and vitality. Tiffany is not only an artist but a survivor whose strength and creativity have become a living example of peace in action. Tiffany has turned to art as a way to heal and reclaim her voice. That transformation did not stop with her, it radiated outward, touching countless lives across Duluth. Through her involvement in The First Ladies of Hillside and the creation of the DCWC Nourish food program, Tiffany has become a pillar of compassion and community service, ensuring that families have access to both nourishment and dignity. As the Executive Director for Ignite, Empower, and Transform (IET) she Empowers individuals and families to build economic stability through trusted relationships that foster healing and long-term success. Tiffany embodies the true spirit of Duluth’s Peace Hero. She has not only built bridges between art and advocacy but has shown us that peace grows strongest in the hearts of those who have fought hardest.
